I love Oceanic documentaries. I recently saw one about the sea called " Deep Sea. " I felt inspired to sketch while watching,...so here are some more fish studies:)

martin, am here via chris battle's blog, and am SO GLAD i came here!! your drawings and sketches are so cool and truly inspiring!! love all the raw black n white work, there's something so powerful and mysterious in these... i really do feel inspired to draw more and more...and some more!
martin do allow me to add you to my drawing inspiration list, thanx in advance! :o)
will be visiting here more often, thanx, n take care
Really nice shapes Martin! Inspiring work... have you seen the Planet Earth series on the National Geographic channel? I highly recommend it, it's magnificent. Your work makes me want to draw more!
I don't know if you know this, but those sunfish are huge! I came across a dead one washed up on shore about 20 years ago, and the body (without the fins) was the size of a card table.
Hey, I recognize that sun fish! Was this part of the Blue Planet series where they talked about them? They would swim to the surface and have gulls pick off parasites off of their bodies! unbelievable. You should watch Planet Earth, another great series by the BBC.
And hey, thanks for the comment on my blog. Always appreciated coming from you.
