Sorry about the delay in posts. I spent the past 2 weeks trying to line-up some work. Also thanks for all the nice comments! These were just for fun. I was trying to play with shapes a bit and see what I could come up with.

Wow!!!!! That's all I can say about the Totoro show. I am back from my amazing trip to San Francisco, and I had an AWESOME TIME!! The show turned out to be a complete success. All of the 205 pieces sold, and I was told that they raised an estimated 200,000 dollars!! On top of all of that, the book is incredible. If you still want a copy, I believe that they are still being sold on their website, so get one before they are gone!! I was also thrilled to meet a lot of my favorite artists at the show from all over the world. I suppose I looked like a fan boy running around and talking to everyone, but who could resist the opportunity?!! It was a once in a lifetime event!! Thank you all for supporting the show, and it was really great to see many of you there. ----"It is not just about one specific forest. I have been wanting to do some painting for awhile now. I don't think that I am very good at it, but it is certainly something that I want to become better at. This is probably one of the first paintings that I have done in a long time! And, I am sure that it shows. But, I think that it turned out ok for my first one. I will be doing more of these for sure!:)

Hey guys! I just wanted to post an update to the Totoro Project. I recently had these images e-mailed to me, and I wanted to share a little behind the scenes news. The second and third photos are of the judges picking selected pieces to be displayed at the Cartoon Art Museum. The last photo is of the book colorproofing. I can't wait untill this is available!! Anyway, If you havent done so, please get your tickets soon! Go HERE to get them... They just went on sale today! ---And I hope to see you all there:)))
I was very honored when Alberto Ruiz asked me to do a few sketches for one of his upcoming girl books. So here are a few that I came up with. I hope you guys like. Oh, and please check out his site. Alberto has some great books for sale by some of the best artists around! http://processjunkie.blogspot.com/
Well, I know that it's not exactly new news, but this is the announcement that I have been looking forward to making for some time! The website is finally complete, and I must say that it is truly an honor to be among this group of amazing artists!
Wow, it's been awhile since my last post. My wife and I have been busily searching for our new place. We finally found a house in Stratford CT, and we are really excited to move in. Our scheduled move date is set for May 1st, so it's going to be hectic the next month or so. As for the sketch above, I had this idea of putting two unlikely characters in an illustration...it just turned out to be a dingy pirate and a cute little girl. lol
I am sorry for my long absence. My wife was recently accepted into a medical residency program in a neighboring state, and as a result, we need to move. So the past few weeks I have been busy getting my apartment ready to sell, and we will soon begin looking around CT for a new place. Anyway, things are somewhat back to normal now, and I am trying to get back to my work. thanks for all the kind comments, and I promise that I will post more work soon!:))
