Crazy linework on that tree. It's absolutely terrifying... the blossoms up on top are a nice touch though! Even a creepy tree has a soft, sensitive, and beautiful side!

Alisa said...

I want to sing at this illustration "you are so beautiful.."fantastic new one !
I like so much the use of the ink , the modulation that carry out the volume..it's so difficult working with so many lines and in this case the work is perfect , every lines have the right thickness so I can simply read the image , clear and lilting..fantastic!!UAO!
compliments!!!

Hey Martin,

Man I hate this new blogger!!!! I've been trying to visit your blog for a while, but it kept giving some error message and still does with a lot of other blogs:(
Well, yet another awesome piece:). I'm thrilled that you decided to get some prints done and I'd like to order one of each.

How's everything going, are you still in N.Y.? Any luck on your job hunt etc.

Ok, gotta get back to work. Take care and talk later,

Hans

I really like your work, there's so much personnality !
If I can just make a critical, it would'nt be about your work but I just think the color red of your blog is too strong. It outdoes the beautiful soft colors of your illustrations. Anyway, it's my feeling, I find the back too strong...

mark bailey said...

Thanks for the comment Martin. Your stuff is awesome, you have a great style, I love it!
