Power Lines

I have been wanting to do some painting for awhile now. I don't think that I am very good at it, but it is certainly something that I want to become better at. This is probably one of the first paintings that I have done in a long time! And, I am sure that it shows. But, I think that it turned out ok for my first one. I will be doing more of these for sure!:)

really like the yellow walls contrasting with the blue windows :)

it is a pretty good one. even realistic, if you wanted to paint a house with painted windows on it. :)

Wow Martin, I think you're wrong, this is really strong. Reminds me of Jim Dine or those artists doing figurative work in the 60's. Really wonderful.

Nice painting! Though I really prefer when you do it on the cartoony side. The characters on the previous posts are just lovely.

I love your designs, and this painting is just great!
Maybe one little suggestion, if you let me: less black and more purplish shadows.
(I hope I said it well, my english is very poor)

Looks good man- Funny to see this piece on your blog because I've been doing the same thing the past week in anticipation of the upcoming art gallery submission date. Breaking out the paints and crusty brushes, flipping through how to books, and than faking it.

Looks like you can paint fine to me! Keep it up, it's something that I need to work harder on. Plenty of fine stuff on this blog, did I see those "Summer is almost over" girls on the DrawingBoard?
